MANY young graduates aspire to be appointed as CSS officers and work in the main slot of our homeland’s executive machinery. Graduation is the basic academic qualification required to appear in this highly rewarding examination. But the students who want to appear in this competitive examinations sometimes can’t apply because the schedule of the examination form submission date does not coincide with the university’s result-declaration date.

As the FPSC does not provide any leniency to those who are waiting for their graduation examination result, the students are left with no choice but to wait till the next year to appear in this examination.

The University of Sindh usually announces results of college graduation programme in the middle of the year, but this time the examination forms are being invited earlier, so it is expected that the university will announce examination date much sooner than earlier and would declare results of final year BA/BSc in a short time rather than six months as earlier practised. The FPSC has given the deadline of Dec 31 for graduation examination results.

I would like to draw the attention of the controller of examinations and other higher authorities of this prestigious institution that by conducting examinations earlier and by declaring results by December, they can save time and a year of many students who want to appear in annual CSS examinations. I hope that Sindh University has invited examination forms from private candidates to facilitate those students who want to apply for jobs in any department or in CSS examinations according to FPSC rules.
