PESHAWAR: A bomb ripped through Qissa Khwani Bazar area in Peshawar late on Thursday injuring eight people, DawnNews reported.

Police sources said that the bomb was fitted with a timer device and was placed outside Tasveer Mahal conema, one of the oldest cinemas situated in a busy commercial area of the city which has been a site of such incidents earlier as well.

Eight people present in the vicinity were injured as a result of the explosion.

All injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital where the condition of several was stated to be critical.

Police reached the site and began investigations into the blast.
