RAWALPINDI: Real estate tycoon Malik Riaz, the central character in the financial scam involving a son of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, returned to Islamabad amid media glare on Monday.

In brief remarks in response to a barrage of questions, Malik Riaz said he would record his statement before the Supreme Court on Tuesday in connection with allegations levelled against Dr Arsalan Iftikhar.

“I will record my detailed statement in the Supreme Court tomorrow,” he told reporters outside the Rawal Lounge at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport before leaving for home.

According to airport sources, Malik Riaz arrived from London via Karachi along with his wife, son Ali Riaz and an unidentified person by a special flight.
