PESHAWAR, June 9: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has formed a four-member committee to resolve internal differences over distribution of offices in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata.

The committee comprising Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, Pir Sabir Shah, Farid Toofan and Amir Muqam is to complete the task within a month.

A PML-N source said these differences surfaced after many PML-Quaid leaders led by Amir Muqam joined the party.

He said some heavyweights in the province, especially those from Swat and Peshawar, wanted to get provincial offices.

“Amir Muqam raised the matter with the leadership. That’s why central president of PML-N Youth Wing and MNA Captain (r) Safdar recently met him in Islamabad over it,” he said.

The source said the four-member committee would accommodate all provincial leaders to different seats.

Appreciating the leadership’s decision to reorganise itself in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr Muqam said workers were united and would take all possible steps for strengthening the party in the province and Fata.
