KARACHI: A man was slightly injured in what police described as a cracker explosion outside a political party’s office in Husainabad, Azizabad, late on Monday night.

The incident triggered tension in the area and people resorted to firing into the air, fuelling panic in the densely populated area.

Two suspects on a motorcycle lobbed a cracker at a unit office of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement in Husainabad, said the SDPO of Azizabad, Saleem Akhtar Siddiqui.

A man, who suffered slight pellet injures in the legs, was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment, the SDPO added. —Staff ReporterAnother truck torched in Liaquatabad power riots
