ISLAMABAD, June 3: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Sunday that the PPP would not indulge in unparliamentary behaviour during the presentation of the budget by the PML-N in the Punjab Assembly.

During a meeting at the PM House with Faryal Talpur, a member of the National Assembly and chief of the PPP’s Women Wing, Mr Gilani said the ruling party would do nothing against the interests of democracy and refrain from doing what the PML-N members had done during the presentation of the federal budget in the National Assembly on Friday.

“We will not fall into the trap of undemocratic forces,” the prime minister said.

He asked the MPAs belonging to the PPP and its coalition partners in the Punjab Assembly to participate in the budget proceedings in accordance with the best parliamentary practices.—APP
