QUETTA, May 28: An assistant sub-inspector and a constable were killed and two other policemen injured on Monday when attackers opened fire on their van on the Sariab road, sources said.
The van of the New Sariab police station came under attack near Waligat area. Constable Dur Mohammad died and three other policemen were injured.
The body and the injured were taken to the Combined Military Hospital where ASI Abdul Qayyum died.CCPO Capitan (retd) Mir Zubair said the attackers on motorcyclists had fired on the van from two sides.
The condition of the injured policemen was stated to be serious.
