KARACHI, May 21: Shahid Yousuf smashed a hurricane unbeaten 129 as CA Sports Sialkot launched their campaign in the Pakistan Champions Cricket League in style as they hammered P&T Gymkhana Lahore by 67 runs at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground here on Monday.

Shahid belted 15 boundaries and seven sixes in his 71-ball knock while Nadeem Javed hit an unbeaten 63 in 47 balls.

Shahid and Nadeem shared an unbroken 197-run second wicket stand as CA Sports amassed 202-1 in their 20 overs.

P&T Gymkhana, in reply, were restricted to 137-7 in 20 overs.

In the other afternoon matches, Tigers CC Tando Adam beat Ghouri CC Hyderabad by five wickets.

Earlier, National Cricket Club Lahore, Al-Noor Gymkhana, United Sports and Vital-V made winning start by beating respective opponents.

The event was inaugurated at a colourful ceremony by patron-in-chief of the Champions League, Senator Syed Mustafa Kamal.
