As winners in six categories of the IndieGo awards, Qayaas is now automatically qualified to participate in the final event of the Bite My Music Global Awards.

They bagged the awards for the Best Rock Vocalist (for band member Umair Jaswal), Best Rock Song (Shehrezade) and Best Rock Group, a silver award in the category of the Most Mind-blowing Music Video for Pukaar and were voted as the Best Freaking at in the Universe by their peers at the IndieGo awards held in India recently. The awards aim to honour some of the best independent music and bands present in South Asia. They are judged via a mixture of audience and jury member votes. Two other Pakistani artistes won minor accolades at IndieGo as well—Natasha Ejaz won a silver award in Best Pop Song for Jahaan and Hassan Khan won a bronze award for Best Pop Act.

As winners in six categories of the IndieGo awards, Qayaas is now automatically qualified to participate in the final event of the Bite My Music Global Awards—one of the biggest independent music awards in the world.

Qayaas also came out on top as The Chosen One in a category that entitles them representation by a global entertainment PR company, Danie Cortese Entertainment Inc. It will represent the band in a myriad of different countries and will promote them to potential audiences on a global level.

The band was recently in Karachi to perform at a concert which they had organised at the Arts Council amphitheater. The concert was hard to miss even for those who did not attend it for within hours of its conclusion, Facebook and Twitter were inundated with feedback, discussions and photos of the band from the event.

A couple of days prior to the concert, the band had said, “We want Karachi to know that Qayaas was here.” They definitely left a lasting impression.
