KARAK, Jan 29: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz youth wing provincial president and former MNA Shamsur Rehman Khattak formally joined Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf at a public gathering in his hometown Makoori here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Khattak said that the oil and gas royalty of the district should be increased from five per cent to 20 per cent and the local educated people given employment in oil companies working in Karak district.

The former MNA said that he would put his demands before the PTI chairman, Imran Khan, during his visit to Karak. He claimed that he had always given priority to the progress and prosperity of the local people and would continue to do so as many areas of the district were still very backward.

Mr Khattak said that he had joined the PML-N when its leadership was in exile in Saudi Arabia. He claimed that the PML was not giving due consideration to the workers’ demands.
