Let’s give them their due. The boys who do this rib-tickling, guffaw-eliciting comedy skit show Banana News Network or BNN on TV have created history (of sorts). Without an iota of doubt these days it is one of the most, if not the most, watched and liked shows in Pakistan. And the credit goes to the entire team, particularly the actors (Murtaza Chaudhry, Mustafa Chaudhry, Mobin Gabol and a few others whose name slips the mind) who are masters at the art of mimicry and do that with a delectable dash of humour. It is not a satirical show by any stretch of the imagination, but is definitely laden with funniness.

Yes, sometimes their comedy gets a wee bit crude, but the overall effect of their effort hides whatever tiny shortcomings the show has. Just watch the show in which they put Shahrukh Khan next to Sahir Lodhi (of course actors pretending to be SRK and Sahir L) and concluded that the former copied the latter, and you’ll agree without making any argument. Good work guys. Keep tickling those funny bones of the dour public!
