LAHORE, Jan 19: Hamza Amin of Pakistan with twoday aggregate of 135 is a strong contender to qualify for the main round of the Asian Tour Golf as the fourday qualifiers are in progress in Thailand.

Among 240 competitors from Asia and Europe four Pakistanis are also participating in the event.

Most outstanding performance have so far come from Hamza, who earned the cards of 69 and 66 making aggregate 135 and is currently placed at third position.

The three other Pakistanis are Mohammad Munir, Matloob Ahmed and Aadil Jehangir.

However, only M Munir has so far succeeded to remain in the contest along with Hamza, since both Matloob and Aadil along with 151 other competitors have shown poor performances on the first day.

Now only 89 professionals will be contesting in the remaining two rounds and 40 top performers will stand eligible for the Asian Tour 2012 at the end of the final qualification stage.
