LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday demanded an explanation from the federal government, the Pepco and Lesco over ongoing electricity loadshedding in the country, DawnNews reported.

The court was hearing two petitions filed regarding the ongoing energy crises in the country.

The court adjourned the hearing of the first case to October 7 demanding an explanation from the federal government, the Pepco and Lesco. The petition requested that hospitals should be made immune from loadshedding until the dengue outbreak was brought under control.

Justice Azmat Saeed adjourned the hearing of the second case till October 11, which was also seeking schools and offices to be provided relief from loadshedding along with hospitals.
