THERE is no denying the fact that the Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad, has been rendering a great deal of service to education and disseminating knowledge to students. They have been publishing highly useful books containing better education for learners. But for some time they have been using cheap quality paper for books which look awkward and make the books inferior.

For example, I have two of their English books in my hand, having code 386. The books contain high quality material with impressing getup. Regretfully, the paper used in these books is of a very poor quality, which shows AIOU in poor light.

May I, through these columns, request AIOU authorities to improve the quality of the paper of their books to make them more attractive, fascinating and long-lasting for readers.
