
KARACHI: The Pakistan army continued its flood relief efforts and rescue operations in different parts of Sindh on Wednesday.
The Corps Commander Lieutenant General Muhammad Zahir Ul Islam spent another day in flood affected areas of Thar and Sanghar to oversee the relief operation.
The Corps Commander instructed the officers and men to be in fore front and pro-actively help the flood victims in order to achieve utmost satisfaction in this Noble National duty.
He appreciated the efforts and services of the rank and file rendered in flood affected areas with zeal and commitment.
The Corps Commander inspected the entire affected area from Hyderabad to Tando Allah Yar, Mirpur Khas, Digrri, Sindhrri and Sangharr by road.
General officer commanding Major General Anwar Ali Hyder briefed the Corps Commander about the deployment and the whole hearted sincere efforts of troops.
He also mentioned that within last twenty four hours more than ten thousand people have been evacuated, 20 tons of rations distributed and more than twelve hundred families where shifted to safe places.
Whereas two thousand patients have been treated today.
