DADU, April 28: Three bandits surrendered to police and three others were arrested after raids on their hideouts on Thursday, according to Dadu DPO Javaid Soonharo Jiskani.

The DPO told reporters that home department had announced Rs500,000 as head money for each dacoits, Sarwar alias Kubro Chandio and Pathan Chandio who involved in kidnapping people for ransom, committing robberies and killing innocent people in the district since last 10 years.

He said that three dacoits Sarwar alias Kubro Chandio, Pathan Chandio and Mazan Chandio surrendered to police with the help of tribal chief of Chandios, Sardar Chandio, and promised to give up criminal life.

He said Sarwar Chandio was wanted by police in 22 cases, Pathan Chandio in 20 cases and Mazan in eight cases lodged at different police stations in Dadu district.

He said that police also arrested dacoits Ghafoor Loond, Mohammad Shahani and Lakhmir Chandio carrying head money of Rs500,000 after raids on their hideouts in Dadu town,.

Three rifles and 200 bullets were found in their possession, he said, adding that so far, 8 out of 28 notorious dacoits carrying head money of Rs500,000 had been arrested.
