Let’s face it: the googie googie burrr girl Mathira doesn’t look or sound half as good as she used to on the show which launched her as a late-night host. Ever since she’s shifted to another channel (her new show is called Baji Online, how tacky is that?), she’s become more conscious of the camera, something that she least cared about in the past, something which differentiated her from the rest of her colleagues on TV. In fact, she’s these days even trying to sound more philosophical, only making a fool of herself. The other day, while discussing life in general and love in particular, she compared life to a glass of water, uttering things that only Nietzsche could understand, and that too while asleep.

Ah, things that our showbiz people do to earn respect!
