ISLAMABAD: PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi on Saturday recorded his statement before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) probing the NICL scam, DawnNews reported.

A six-member investigation team headed by the Additional DIG of the agency recorded the statement of Moonis, son of former Punjab chief minister Pervez Elahi.

Moonis was provided with a 70-point questionnaire during the investigation which lasted for one and a half hour.

His lawyers were not allowed to attend the investigation session, sources said.

Earlier, Mohsin Waraich, a main suspect in the NICL scam, in his written statement to the FIA had claimed that Moonis was not involved in the scandal.
