OKARA, Feb 6: A man was arrested on Sunday under blasphemy law for tying a shoe to a flag bearing a holy symbol.
Reports said Shafique, a shopkeeper of Shamsia Colony, had hoisted the flag in front of his shop and allegedly tied a shoe to it which hurt the religious sentiments of some locals.
On the complaint of Sabir Ali, a local, A Division police arrested Shafique and registered a case against him under section 295-A of the PPC.
