PESHAWAR: Wapda grabbed two gold medals on the opening day of the weightlifting contests of the 31st National Games at the Qayyum Sports Complex on Sunday.

Abdul Ghafoor won the gold in the 56kg weight category, Imran Ismail of HEC took the silver while Saqib Butt of Army grabbed the bronze.

In the 62kg category, Usman Abdullah won the gold, followed by Farooq of Railways and Aamir Butt.—APP
