ATTOCK, Dec 5: On the directive of a local court, the Saddar police have registered a case against a man and his relatives on the complaint of his mother-in-law.

Parveen Akhtar complained to the court that her daughter Mehnaz was married to Ameer Mohammad some two years back.

She said when she went to meet her daughter on Eid, her son-in-law did not allow her to enter the house and also misbehaved with her. Since then, there is no clue to the whereabouts of her daughter.

She feared that her daughter might have been killed by her husband with the help of his mother and brothers. Admitting the complaint, the court directed the police to register a case to trace the complainant's daughter.

Meanwhile, the Injra police have arrested three persons - Babar Khan, Mohammad Firdous and Sharif - on the charge of kidnapping for ransom. Their ring leader Lal Khan alias Lalu is already under the police custody.

They have been accused of kidnapping two traders a month back.
