LAHORE, Dec 1: Lahore Blues beat Islamabad Panthers by nine wickets in the 3rd National Veterans Cup here at the Race Course Park Ground.

Islamabad Panthers scored 108 all out in 20 overs while batting first. Shoaib Sami (33) was the top scorer while Javed Zaman Khan of the Blues captured three for 14 and Waheed Ahmed two for 22.

In reply, Lahore Blues achieved the target for the loss of just two wickets in 18.3 overs. Imran Sheikh (55 not out) and Javed Zaman Khan (27) were architects of victory.

Nayyar Abbas took one wicket for 13 runs. Javed Zaman was later declared Man of the Match.—Agencies
