FAISALABAD, Nov 5: A Faisalabad bull and a Rahim Yar Khan goat won a pageant contest of sacrificial animals at Factory Area on Friday.

Up to 600 sacrificial animals from across the country participated in the 9th contest organised by Atta Muhammad Gujjar.

The weight of the winner bull is 1,608 kilogrammes and goat 280 kilogrammes. Mr Gujjar told Dawn the goat was the heaviest one in the world as a team of Gunnies World Record and doctors of the Agriculture University Faisalabad had confirmed his claim. He said the Gunnies World Record would shortly inform him about the goat ranking.

Akmal Magsi, the owner of the winner goat won Rs200,000, Atta Gujjar, the owner of bull Rs100,000. The management gave Rs50,000 to Imtiaz Rabbani as his lamb stood first in its category.
