This is amazing. I have very sweet memories of the Napir bridge and of the surroundings. If I am not wrong there used to be a temple in the vicinity. we could see the believers going to the temple and offering the colourful flowers etc. Now that I am out of the country I hear that somewhere in between the several bridges a huge food street is being built (or already built). Thanks to DAWN to bring back such sweet memories of the yester years. Shall make it a point to go to PGCA.

WOW, such place exists, unbelievable.This shows there are people in Pakistan who really want peace in the city/country and are willing to do things to bring civility back in the country and make Karachi again a fun city to live and work and a great cosmopolitan town.

Lovely Karachi ! It once used to be the city of lights which was awake the whole night. Wish it recovers it"s status ! Where is this place located? Cannot remember.

Thank you Dawn for highlighting Pakistani cultre and arts. Frankly, I am sometimes saddened that the country's best and leading newspaper, Dawn, covers Pakistani culture so infrequnetly. At least that is the impression I get visiting the website, living as I do outside Pakistan. These beautiful photos published by Dawn gives me hope. Kudos and keep up the good work!

Really this is amazing, I also have some sweet memories of the Napier Bridge when I stood with my Parents in the past days of 80's, I was missing that Peaceful Karachi.

This was an amazing event.I traveled long way from sukkur to attend this event ,working with our respectable Sind Rural Support Organization , our aim and objective are to promote traditional crafts of Sind and to create direct linkages with the market.At this platform we hope to introduce our rural craft men and women on weekend arts and craft market.Best of luck PGCA .Thanks to dawn group

@SAM Temple is still there and the community as well. This "Port Grande" is that huge food street you mentioned. You pass through PNSC building, where I used to work, to enter Port Grande. Cheers

One of the best news to come out of Khi - and Pakistan for some time. The other is regarding the Thar coal deposit and their possible utilization which can do to Pakistan what Sui gas did in 1950s and Three Gorges Dam did to China.

This is amazing. I don't even imagine that my birth place has one of a kind location. Picture 1 of 8 reminds me Alamo, where they restore hundreds of years of their heritage. I do not recall if I ever visited Napier Bridge, but my next visit to Pakistan I must see PGCA Insh Allah.

This initiative has also refreshed my memories, when I was doing my thesis I so want to take pictures of the port and the grandeur and I was disallowed and I was so surprised that my city, mycity's port and I can't take pictures but now I see the public has been well accomodated to share and express their moments. I tried to mount the yop of the bus to photograph the area but the conductor caught me just in time. This place offers one of the wider skyviews in Karachi. Yes, a good effort effort by dawn, gave me a moment to recollect and filled me with hopes once again. Good Job Eefa and Rabeea.
