RAWALPINDI, Oct 27: Encroachment on Union Council No. 6 Dhoke Hassu is creating hurdles in the smooth flow of traffic.

The situation has worsened to such an extent that encroachments have reached the main gate of the Railway Carriage Factory dispensary.

Talking to this news agency here on Wednesday, transporters complained that the encroachers have occupied Bismillah Chowk and government land, creating hurdles in smooth traffic flow. The residents said this situation was also giving rise to accidents.

Ali, a resident of the area, said illegal workshops outside the Railway Carriage Factory dispensary was also creating problems for people, especially students, who could not even use the footpaths. Besides the broken road that links Rawalpindi's city area with I.J. Principal Road through Dhoke Hassu is a nightmare for motorists.

The residents of the area have demanded of the authorities concerned to take notice of the situation and direct immediate steps to remove the encroachment. — Online
