UMERKOT, July 18 A shepherd who wandered in the desert looking for his missing herd of cattle died of thirst on Sunday.

The body of Ramzan Maher, 60, of the village of Barai, was found at a place about 30 kilometers from Chhor. He left his village four days ago in search of the herd missing for a week.

Last month, a little girl named Kamli had died in the desert. Her mother had left the house to fetch water from a well at a considerable distance. Kamli followed her but found death, not mother, in the desert.—A.B. Arisar
