GARHI KHUDA BAKHSH, April 3: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari appealed to workers of his party and the people of Pakistan late on Wednesday night to support the struggle of the party and stand by former prime ministers Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf in their hour of distress.

He was addressing a meeting held here after midnight to commemorate the death anniversary of the PPP founder and former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Mr Bhutto was executed early on April 4 morning in Rawalpindi during the regime of military dictator Ziaul Haq.

Bilawal’s address at the ceremony was described as the formal launch of the party’s election campaign.

It was followed by another emotional address by his father, President Asif Ali Zardari.

Earlier, President Zardari arrived in Garhi Khuda Bukhsh and visited the graves of Z.A. Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto and laid floral wreath and offered Fateha.

Mr Bilawal and his sister Bakhtawar visited the graves of Z.A Bhutto and Benazir and laid floral wreath.
