CHITRAL, April 1: Six people were killed and nine injured when a jeep fell into a ravine at Barenis village on Chitral-Booni road on Monday. The accident occurred when the driver was turning a sharp turn.

Police and DHQ hospital sources told Dawn that those who died included three brothers Imran Khan, Ihtesham and Sheraz, sons of Nazar Khan, Sardar Ahmed, Abdul Hussain and Shah Hakim of Yarkhun valley. The injured included Sardar Hussain (driver), Fida ur Rahman, Doctor Khan, Alam Khan, Mohammad Ali and four women named Utiba Bibi, Gul Bahar, Iqra Hussain and wife of one Qurban Hussain.

The immediate reason of the fatal accident was stated to be dizziness of the driver. —Correspondent
