KARACHI: One of the girls wounded in the grenade-and-gun attack on the school in Baldia Town died during treatment in hospital on Sunday. The school principal was killed in the attack while at least 10 people, including children, were wounded.

“Twelve-year-old Tahira, daughter of Noor Waheed, and Nazia had been brought to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment. The child had a sever wound on the left of her head and was in an altered state of mind,” said Dr Seemin Jamali, the head of the accidents and emergency department of the JPMC.

The victim was on ventilator in the intensive care unit where she breathed her last on Sunday night. The other girl student, Nazia, had been taken away by her family from the hospital, the doctor added.
