RECENTLY, the Sindh government announced 1,800 vacancies for lectures in different subjects in the education and literacy department of Sindh. The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) conducts test.

It is a pity that the SPSC always follows the old method of testing and papers are checked by professors and seniors in SPSC manually, although the commission also charges Rs500 and there is no shortage of funds.

The commission is checking papers manually in this age of technology where every thing is done with the help of computer.

The authorities concerned are requested that paper checking should be done on the pattern of NTS and the OMR sheet should be provided to candidates for future claims.

Moreover, the anti-corruption organizations like FIA and NAB should also keep an eye on the selection procedure. Merit should be insured so that only competent lecturers are selected.
