KARACHI, Nov 14: Yasir Ahmedani made crucial contributions with both bat and the ball as Nixor College defeated Bay View High School by 21 runs in the fourth Ian Fyfe Memorial Inter-school Invitation T20 colour-kit cricket league at the KGA Ground here on Wednesday.

Batting first, Nixor College totalled 147-9 with Fahim Moid and Ali Imran scoring 22 apiece. Yasir made a useful 19. Haris Ali Khan captured three wickets for 28 runs, while Shaharyar Ahmed took 2-22.

Bay View High School, in reply, failed to build on a solid start provided by openers Haris (19) and Ali Zaman, who also scored 19, as they finished at 126-7 with Shahzaib Nasir emerging as the day’s top-scorer with 38. Mehdi Wajuddin contributed 24.

Yasir bowled a tidy three-over spell during which he grabbed three wickets and conceded just 13 runs. Ahmed Lakhani (2-14 in three overs) and Mudassar Hashim (2-25 in four) were also on song for the winning side.
