KARACHI: Four bodies in gunny bags were discovered from parts of Karachi, whereas five suspects were arrested by Rangers during targeted operations across the city, DawnNews reported on Saturday.

Two of the bodies were found in Lyari’s Moosa Lane area. The bodies were shifted to the city’s Civil Hospital for post mortem.

Two other bodies, bearing torture marks, were found near Keamari Town’s Customs House. The police said the bodies had been identified and shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for autopsy.

The bodies discovered from Keamari were first taken to the Civil Hospital but had to be shifted to the JPMC due to lack of medical staff on night duty at the former.

Moreover, two people were also injured in incidents of firing in different areas of Karachi.

Furthermore, the Rangers conducted targeted operations in various areas of Karachi, including Korangi, Landhi, Malir, New Karachi, Surjani Town, Lyari and Garden. Five suspects were arrested during a raid by Rangers on a fire brigade office.
