KARACHI: Karachi Port Trust’s (KPT) lacklustre form continued in the Pakistan Premier Football League as they lost 1-0 to the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) here on Saturday.

Meanwhile, defending champions Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) dropped their first points this season after they were held 0-0 by Pakistan Army while Pakistan Navy and Pakistan International Airlines played out a 1-1 draw.

At the KPT Stadium here, Farooq Shah’s 48th minute strike was enough to give the NBP all three points in a match that saw three of their players cautioned for strong challenges.

A late equaliser by Naveed gave Navy a share of the points at the Korangi Baloch Stadium as his strike cancelled out Nasrullah’s 37th minute goal for PIA.

The KRL, who had recorded five successive victories in their opening five games, were held by a resolute Army side at the KRL Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Elsewhere, Inayatullah’s 78th minute goal gave Baloch FC a 1-0 victory over Afghan FC in their match at Quetta’s Sadiq Shaheed Stadium.
