KABUL: Three American service members were killed in a bomb attack in eastern Afghanistan, officials said.

The Nato military coalition said in a statement that three international service members were killed in the blast Thursday. The alliance did not provide further details.

A US official said that all three were Americans. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the information had not yet been publicly released.
