ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Friday said that the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) was a hurdle in the formation of a grand alliance of opposition political parties, DawnNews reported.

He said that the PML-N leadership would have to change its attitude and play the role of a responsible opposition.

He said Abdul Ghafoor Haideri would remain the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate.

Fazl further said that the JUI-F was in contact with religious parties for the revival of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA).

Regarding the Shamsi air base, the JUI-F chief said that allowing the US to operate at the base in the current manner was akin to compromising the country's sovereignty. — DawnNews
