LAHORE: The United Nations and global human rights organisations should ensure an impartial investigation into the alleged massacre of 11 Pakistani Hindus during their visit to India, said leaders of different religions here on Sunday.

Speaking at a joint press conference, they alleged that minorities in India were being suppressed and Pakistani Sikhs, Hindus and Muslims during their visit to India forced to commit espionage for India, and on refusal they were tortured by secret agencies there.

Prominent among those present at the presser were Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi, Allama Ziaullah Shah Bukhari, Maulana Muhammad Khan Leghari, Maulana Kazim Raza, Bishop Sibtain Shah, Dr Munawar Chand, Sardar Bishon Singh, Father Nadeem, Father James Chenon, Bhagat Singh, Pastor Emanuel Khokhar, Allama Zubair Abid, Maulana Asadullah Farooq, Maulana Assedur Rehman and Maulana Nauman Hashir.

The minority leadership said they enjoyed more rights in Pakistan as compared to minorities in any other part of the world.
