BATTAGRAM: The police recovered the two kidnapped sisters and arrested five suspected abductors from Shingli Paen area here the other day.

The police said that the sisters aged 19 and 17, residents of Chappargram area, had gone to nearby fields to pick vegetables on Wednesday evening, but they did not return home.

They said that after failure to locate them, the girls’ father lodged an FIR with the police.

In the report, he nominated two persons for kidnapping his daughters in a car.

The police started searching for them and arrested the two suspected kidnappers, who later identified the location where the girls were kept.

A police team raided a government primary school in Shingli Paen area, and recovered the two sisters and three boys.

The police officials said that during the investigation the girls disclosed that that the three boys already present in the school building assaulted them.

The officials said that medical reports also confirmed that the girls were assaulted.

District police officer Tariq Sohail Marwat said that the girls were presented before the magistrate, who handed them over to their family.

He also distributed commendation certificates among the policemen, who recovered the girls and arrested their captors.
