SWABI: Activists of opposition parties on Wednesday staged a protest demonstration here as part of the Plan-C of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl campaign to oust the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government.

Workers of JUI-F, ANP, PML-N, PPP and QWP gathered at the district headquarters and marched on the road to the Karnal Sher Khan Chowk. They were chanting slogans against the government, alleging that the PTI had failed to deliver.

JUI-F provincial general secretary Maulana Attaulhaq Darvaish, ANP district general secretary Nawabzada, QWP district chairman Masood Jabbar, PML-N district president Mohammad Shiraz and PPP divisional leader Javid Inqilabi addressed the protesters.

They said prices of commodities had increased manifold and the poor were facing multiple problems. They said sooner the PTI government stepped down the better for the country.

They said their struggle would continue unabated to educate the people about the government’s ‘failed’ policies.
