When plastic back covers of the cell phone become old, they look awful with a visible brown or reddish tint all over them. Yes, they look really terrible; so whether it is your sister, your mother or your brother, don’t let them throw out these old cases, keep them and bring life to their dull and dirty look.

There are many ways to make beautiful cases, one of which I am showing you today. This is very easy, but needs a couple of hours to make it in one sitting.

Things you need:

  1. Various colours of yarn

  2. One Popsicle stick

  3. Scissors

  4. Old phone case

  5. Googly eye, stars, beads (optional)

Directions:

  1. Roll any colour of yarn around a Popsicle stick, picture 2. Don’t tighten the grip on the yarn, it should be loose enough so that you can cut it easily in the later step.

  2. Keep rolling yarn around the stick until

it is quite thick, check the width of the phone case and glue one side of the stick, then paste it on the case, pictures 3 and 4.

  1. Leave it for a few seconds, so that the wool sticks perfectly. Insert the scissors from one end of the stick and cut out the yarn carefully, pictures 5 and 6. Discard the stick.

  2. Repeat all the three steps by using different colours of yarn, pictures 7 and 8.

  3. When you reach the camera or flash holes in the case, leave space for the camera and stick the wool on the sides, according to the size, pictures 9 and 10.

  4. The new phone case is almost ready, but it’s time to trim the yarn from all the sides and from top as well, picture 11.

  5. You can either leave the case as it is or decorate it by pasting beads or stars or even googly eyes.

Surprise your sibling or parents with this reusable phone case!
