LAKKI MARWAT: Two persons were killed in separate incidents here on Wednesday.

In Lakki city, a motorcyclist namely Osama Firdous was seriously wounded when his bike was hit by a car near Gambila Bridge on Manjiwala Road, witnesses said. They said the wounded boy was taken to the government city hospital, but he could not survive.

Police said a man namely Ihsanullah was shot and killed by his rivals over a petty dispute in Tap Takhtikhel village.

The deceased’s father nominated Mustafa and Samiullah in the FIR for the offence. He told police that the killers and his son had argued some days ago.

DENGUE CASES: Two dengue cases have been reported from a rural locality of the district, a source in the government city hospital confirmed on Wednesday.

The source said on Sept 16, Najibullah, 38, was brought to the hospital for treatment of fever, where he tested positive for dengue virus. The affected patient belonging to Nawerkhel village is a daily wager in Islamabad.

The source said on Sept 17, another man, Rehmatullah, 40, from the same village was also brought to the hospital complaining about fever. Later, he also tested positive for carrying dengue virus. The affected patient is a tailor by profession and that he had returned from Rawalpindi a day before he suffered from fever.

The source said both the affected patients had been admitted to the special ward established in the city hospital where they received treatment for two days. He said the patients were referred to Peshawar on Wednesday for availing better treatment facilities.
