SWABI: Old enmity claimed lives of two people in Shalkhy village here on Thursday.

The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Swabi city police station and a police party reached the site soon after the incident.

SHO Swabi city police station Nural Amin said that the deceased were identified as Haroon Khan and Jalal Khan. He said that their rivals were chasing them on motorcycles.

When they got near Haroon and Jalal, who were also on a motorcycle, they allegedly opened fire on them with pistols, he said. As a result, they fell from the bike and succumbed to their injuries.

Muzamil Khan, brother of Haroon, has registered an FIR against Abid Khan, Qamar Zaman, Kachkul Khan and Arif Khan. He stated that the cause of the incident was an old enmity.

Meanwhile, the police arrested Sohail Khan who had allegedly killed four people of a family in Shalkhy village three days ago. The SHO said that they had also recovered a Kalashnikov from him possession.
