KARACHI: A man, who had recently fled his native area of Lakki Marwat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was gunned down in Karachi on Saturday.

Korangi Industrial Area SHO Inspector Aurangzeb Khattak said that Khalid Husain, 26, had left Lucky Marwat around three days ago and came to the city.

He was working as an assistant to a truck driver.

On early Saturday morning, gunmen intercepted the truck in Korangi Mill Area near Attock petrol pump.

They did not touch the driver, however, Khalid Husain, who was sitting inside the tanker was gunned down.

They opened indiscriminate fire on him and fled.

He sustained five bullet wounds and died on the spot.

Investigators collected two spent bullet casings fired from a .30-bore pistol from the crime scene.
