PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, has initiated inquiry against the owners of some housing schemes in Peshawar and asked the complainants to submit their applications to the accountability body for taking legal action in this connection.

According to a statement issued here on Friday, the NAB started probe into affairs of Almasa Model Town and Professors Model Town-II housing societies, Warsak Road, to ensure transparency in the housing schemes.

The NAB advised the people, who had paid money for purchase but were neither returned their payment nor given residential plots so far, to contact its office in Hayatabad phase-V. It was stated that the initiative was aimed at recovery of the money from the owners, managers and administration of the housing schemes.

Besides, the people were also asked to register their complaints with proofs via NAB’s website.
