LAHORE: Light rain in Lahore and some other cities and snowfall over the hills further dropped temperatures on Tuesday.

The Met department said rain and snow were generated by a westerly wave that is likely to persist till Wednesday (today).

It said rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur divisions and Kashmir.

The early morning showers in Lahore settled to a great extent smog that had started to cover the city.

The Met department forecast rain-thunderstorm (with snowfall over the hills) at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan in the next 24 hours.
