ISLAMABAD: A man who went missing last week was found murdered in Shahzad Town police area, police said on Tuesday.

Some passersby spotted the body near a nullah and informed the police who shifted the body to a hospital for medico-legal and identification.

The body was identified as that of Mohammad Naveed.

The police also found a mobile phone from the area where the body was found. However, the ownership of the mobile has yet to be established.

Preliminary investigation suggested that the victim was a native of Kotli Satian and working at a hotel in the area of Khanna.

He left from the hotel for his native town on Nov 5 but never reached home and was later found murdered.

Separately, a man was killed and his brother injured in a road accident on Murree Road.

Qasir Mehmood was on a motorcycle along with his brother Abrar when a wagon hit them in Bhara Kahu. As a result both suffered injuries.

The driver of the wagon escaped.
