KARACHI: After a hot and humid night of discomfort due to the city’s plunging into darkness resulting from the tripping of the 500kV transmission line connecting K-Electric to the national grid, power was restored to the city by Saturday morning.

According to K-Electric, their teams initiated restoration work immediately after interruption of power on Friday night and were able to restore to routine level within a few hours. It was explained that they also restored strategic installations falling in the affected areas as a matter of priority.
