Those tasked with conducting the general elections 2018 must have a million things on their mind but there is one less thing for them to worry about.

The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has assured all the stakeholders that its data is foolproof and its security has not been breached.

The agency wanted to make that clear so badly, it sent out a team of four directors generals (DGs) to do a press conference. The quartet said the media's claim that the voter data has been leaked is "baseless".

Neither was there any leak nor have we shared any citizen’s data with anyone, especially the media. — one of the four DGs

The Nadra men said the email on whose basis the allegation is being levelled was actually more than a year old when they hadn't even started compiling voter lists.
