KARACHI: Syed Aijaz Ali Shah Shirazi, head of the Shirazi group from Sujawal and Thatta districts, called on PPP Parliamentarian president Asif Ali Zardari and announced joining the Pakistan Peoples Party at Bilawal House on Monday evening, said a statement.

“One former MNA and three ex-MPAs belonging to the Shirazi group left the PML-N and joined the PPP, saying that PPP is the only political party that has roots in every nook and corner of the country while the rest are regional parties,” said the statement, adding that PPP Women Wing President Faryal Talpur, senior leader Syed Khursheed Shah, Nadir Magsi, Mir Aijaz Jakhrani, Suhail Anwar Sial and others were also present.
