LAHORE: A 20-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide after consuming poisonous pills in Green Town on Sunday.

The police said Rimsha was annoyed with her family over some issue and she consumed poisonous pills on Saturday night. She fell unconscious and was taken to the Jinnah Hospital where she died on Sunday morning after hours of treatment. The police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy and started investigation.

KILLED: A man was killed while three others were injured when a speeding truck rammed into them on the Ring Road, Saggian.

Four motorcyclists were travelling on the road when the mini-truck turned turtle and hit them, the police said. All the motorcyclists suffered critical injuries. They were shifted to the Mian Munshi Hospital where one of them succumbed to his injuries and others’ condition was said to be critical. The driver fled the scene after leaving the truck.
