PESHAWAR: In a major reshuffle, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has transferred and posted 37 high-ranking officers, including administrative secretaries, as some of them were made officers on special duty (OSDs).

A notification issued by the establishment department on Wednesday said that secretary elementary and secondary education Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash (PAS BS-21) has been transferred and posted as additional chief secretary. The post has been lying vacant after the appointment of Mohammad Azam Khan as chief secretary.

Secretary industries, commerce and technical education Mrs Farah Hamid Khan (PAS BS-21), secretary administration department Hassan Mehmood Yousafzai (BS-20), secretary establishment department Dr Syed Akhtar Hussain Shah (PCS SG BS-20) and inspector general prisons (BS-20) were made OSDs and directed to report to the establishment department.

According to the notification, chairman provincial inspection team Mohammad Fahim Wazir (BS-21) was transferred and posted as secretary industries, commerce and technical education.

Secretary zakat, usher, social welfare and women empowerment Farakh Sair (PCS EG BS-21) was transferred and posted chairman provincial inspection team while special secretary (E) establishment Ms Fareeha Paul (BS-20) was posted as secretary zakat, usher, social welfare and women empowerment department.

Secretary food Asmatullah Khan (BS-20) was transferred and posted chairman higher education regulatory authority. The post was lying vacant. Coordinator provincial emergency operation centre for polio eradication centre Mohammad Akbar Khan (BS-20) was transferred and posted secretary food department.

Special secretary regulation, establishment department, Masood Ahmad (BS-20) was transferred and posted as chairman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Textbook Board while Asghar Ali Shah (BS-20) currently serving as chairman textbook board was posted secretary law, parliamentary affairs and human rights department. The post was also lying vacant.

Additional secretary law department Mukhtiar Ahmad was transferred and posted director Staff Training Institute while secretary information, public relations and culture department Arshad Majeed was transferred and posted secretary administration in own pay and scale. He was also directed to hold additional charge of secretary establishment department.

Special secretary higher education Abdul Ghafoor Baig was transferred and posted commissioner Dera Ismail Khan against the vacant post while director Staff Training Institute Ajmal Khan (PCS ED BS-20) was asked to report to the establishment department.

Managing director KP Procurement Regulatory Authority Kamran Rehman Khan (PAS BS-20) was transferred and posted as director general Provincial Ombudsman. Special secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Department Qaiser Alam (BS-19 Protocol Service) was posted as secretary information, public relations and culture department in his own pay and scale.

Mohammad Israr, principal secretary to chief minister, was posted as secretary agriculture department and additional secretary home and tribal affairs department Shahidullah was transferred and posted as inspector general prisons. Director general Food Safety Authority Attaur Rehman (PMS BS-19) was posted additional secretary, taxation department, who was replaced by additional secretary administration department Riaz Mehsud (PCS EG BS-19).

Director Education Sector Reform Unit Sharif Hussain (PMS BS-19) was transferred and posted as director Transport, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Syed Tanzeela Sabahat (PMS BS-19) was posted as special secretary establishment department in her own pay and scale. She was serving as additional secretary Planning and Development Department.

Additional secretary excise and taxation department Mohammad Nadir Khan (PMS BS-19) was transferred and posted as additional secretary health department while additional secretary health Suhail Khan (PAS BS-18) was posted as additional secretary E&SE Department.
